I like Brody, Courtney and Kathleen and I also like Pizzacrust’s band…but the way you guys are blowing this out of proportion and being annoying is just like mehh lame grow up. Not to fan the flames of this anymore but I’m gonna throw my two cents in because A) I’m bored and B) fuck you. Now I’m not going to try and solve this by adding facts and shit like it’s some scholarly paper. What I do know, is that I’m a musician in basically the same boat as Meghan. I’m in a band. I work my ass off for the band and usually put more into it then I get out. But why do I continue to do it? Because it’s the one thing that helps get me through my week. Everybody’s working for the weekend? No. I’m working for the 2-5 hours I get to spend with my band a week practicing/polishing our songs or working on new material or just all in all figuring shit out. I know it’s a cliche thing to say but music IS my life. It’s the one thing that kinda keeps me sane and then one thing that really keeps me going. When Brody was in the Distillers their music sounded like basically everything else at the time. Poppy/cookie-cutter punk. Which was cool when I was 13 and just getting into it. But looking back at it now the only reason I’ll listen to it is for nostalgia. Also let’s look at another thing that has always bugged me. Brody and Tim Armstrong are married. Brody’s a punk Tim’s a punk they’re all punks hey!Then Brody and Tim split and Brody hooks up with Josh whatever from Queens of the Stone Age and then suddenly, no more distillers, now there’s a new band called spinnerretteetrrerttrerte. Brody goes on to explain in interviews that this is the new her. This is her becoming who she truly is blah blah blah. Ok. Whenever I hear a musician say some shit like that I basically interpret it as, “oh yeah I didn’t really have my whole heart into that I was doing it for awhile cause I thought it would be cool or fun.” Which again. As a musician, this bothers me. I put myself 100% into my band(s). Sure I haven’t always been in the exact band to fit my style (ex. my first band was a horror-punk band) but I’m still passionate about what I’m doing in/for that band. Throwing it all away or turning your back on it? That just shows your heart wasn’t in it and you know when that is the case. But instead of moving after the first few years or after your first release, you continue to milk it and ride the gravy train.

I dunno. Maybe I’m jaded. Maybe I’m tired. That was just a long ridiculous train of thought/my opinion. If you understood it or agree well then you go glenn couco. If you don’t understand it, I don’t blame you. And if you disagree… well I don’t really give a fuck that’s your problem.
